Music Performance

All are invited to a Music Performance for our Beagles! To accomodate all the talented students in Bridlemile there are two dates for the grade levels.

When:
Thursday, May 14th
Kindergarten, 1st & 2nd Grades
Performance order:
- Kinders 6:00-6:25p
- 1st & 2nd 6:45p-7:15p

Thursday, May 21st
3rd, 4th & 5th Grades
Performance order:
- 3rd 6:00-6:25p
- 4th & 5th + Band 6:45p-7:15p

Time: 6:00p-7:30p

Bike Bus Launch

The Bridlemile Bike Bus is rolling again this spring! Students ride to school together in a supervised group ride led by parent volunteers — like a bus on bikes.

Official launch ride: Wednesday, April 22, 2026 (Earth Day)

Current route stops

7:15 AM – Tursi Soccer Field

7:40 AM – SW 54th Ave & SW Hamilton St

7:45 AM – Arrival at Bridlemile Elementary

Riders should bring a helmet, working bike, and weather-appropriate gear.

Bike Fest

When: Friday, May 15th

Time: The event kicks off right after school at 3:00 PM.

Where: Bridlemile

What: Started in 2012, Bike Fest is a favorite Bridlemile tradition that brings our community together to celebrate bikes, kids, and National Bike Month.

Activities include:
- Two riding courses around the school
- An advanced course through Hamilton Park
- The slow race (main event)
- Raffle prizes and giveaways
- Snacks and treats
- Bike tune-ups and safety checks

Pre-registration will be used for races and courses to help keep things running smoothly.

We need volunteers for setup, safety support, check-in, snacks, prizes, and cleanup.

Earth Day Celebration & Book Swap

When: Wednesday, April 22nd

Time: 2:30p-4:30p

Where: Bridlemile Garden

What: A great chance to spend time outdoors, connect with other families, and lend a hand as we refresh and prep the garden for the season ahead.

Drop in anytime during the event — bring a book or a few to swap/donate and grab some “new” to you to take and read.

Snacks and drinks will be provided. All ages are welcome, and no gardening experience is needed.

Come dig in and help our garden and your reading skills grow!

Freaky Friday

Freaky Friday is Bridlemile’s annual school carnival. It is a beloved community event filled with bouncy houses, carnival games, sweet treats, food for purchase, and plenty of prizes!

When: Tuesday, May 8th

Time: 5:00p-8:00p

Where: Bridlemile

What: Freaky Friday t-shirts, tickets, and wristbands are now available! Pre-order now to skip the line!
Pre-orders will be delivered April 24 via student backpacks.

Both wristbands and tickets will also be available for purchase at the event. Apparel quantities will be limited, so pre-order if you’d like a shirt!

Southwest Portland Sunday Parkways

When: Saturday, May 17th

Time: 11:00am–4:00pm‍ ‍

Route:2-mile multi-modal loop plus a separate 2.6-mile walking route 

WhatStreets are closed to cars and opened for people to walk, bike, roll, shop, and connect. This free, family-friendly community event features live entertainment, activities for all ages, local vendors, and community organizations like yours.

Traveling to and around Sunday Parkways
Streets along the route in Southwest Portland will be closed to vehicular traffic starting at 9 a.m. and continuing through 5 p.m. on May 17. Volunteers will be at intersections to help people navigate. View the full route and travel details at

Fun Run

We’re thrilled for Bridlemile's annual Fun Run! Our goal is to raise $20,000 for Artists in Residence, Art Specialists, PE, Music, and Arts Assemblies to benefit our students at Bridlemile Elementary.

Families will gather donations through MyBooster.com by sharing your student’s page with friends and family. Every share makes a difference!

PTA General Meeting

Tuesday, April 21 | 6:00–8:00 PM
Come learn about what we have planned for the 2026-2027 PTA budget and share any ideas you might have! Dinner & Childcare provided. Childcare will be provided by Champions. The meeting will start with dinner from 6-6:30 pm and Childcare will start at 6:30 pm. 

Movie Night at Bridlemile
