3rd-5th Grades

Next year’s 3-5 OBOB book list is now available! Check out the slide presentation for an introduction to each title. We invite families to choose a book or two to read aloud together this summer or to listen to on road trips!

What is OBOB? Oregon Battle of the Books (OBOB) is a 3rd-12th grade statewide program that encourages literacy and teamwork through a quiz bowl style competition. Students are introduced to high quality literature across diverse styles, perspectives, and reading levels.

Who can participate? Each fall, Bridlemile 3rd-5th graders have the option to register and form 4-5 person teams. The winning team represents Bridlemile at a regional competition with the chance to qualify for the state tournament.

When is OBOB? Team formation and registration takes place each fall with official events in January and February. Regional and State events take place in March and April.

Look for more information at our in-person OBOB Family Info Night in the Fall. Until then, happy reading!
